Belfast, Northern Ireland. It’s famous for Game of Thrones scenery and filming locations, murals, “troubles,” and… the Titanic! This third point was my and my younger brother’s whole reason for visiting Belfast, and it’s the reason thousands of people visit every year.
If you didn’t already know, I took a “wee” trip to Belfast with my “wee” brother recently, and what’s one of the best things we did? We ate! There was loads of walking to do, so we worked up quite an appetite in just the two days we were there.
I’ll be honest, Belfast was not at the tippy-top of my travel to-do list! But since visiting, I can’t wait to go back! I found it endlessly fascinating, from the history to the mythology to the breakfast! Here are 10 reasons you should make time for a few days in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Belfast, for the Titanic Museum! And, as it turns out, there is only one place to stay: The Titanic Hotel Belfast, of course! So that’s what we did. Thankfully, our trip was a success with no icebergs in sight!

It was my “little” brother’s first trip to the UK, and while the trip was 100% for his 30th birthday gift, we would be remiss if we didn’t experience tea at the Titanic Hotel while we stayed there.
