We celebrated our semi-return to travel witha stay at the elegant, legendary, beautiful Hotel del Coronado!
Here’s what it’s like and what to expect!
When I think of the Peabody Hotel, I think of ducks. And actually, when I think of ducks, I think of the Peabody! The ducks are certainly their signature, but the Peabody has even more to offer! I remember staying here with my family once when I was maybe four, so maybe that’s why the ducks made such an impression. I recently got to go back to the Peabody for a long weekend with my family, and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to tell you all about it! So here it is: The Peabody Hotel, Memphis.
ou could imagine my delight when I found out there was a movie-themed hotel in Morocco! And you could imagine my excitement again when it worked out for us to stay there one night on our way to the Sahara! Here’s the whole experience, complete with photos and movie links!
I have to tell you, after an 8-hour red-eye flight, 3-hour train journey (with change!), and 20-minute walk from the train station, I’m not sure I can express to you how wonderful it was to be met at the door by a gentleman in a top hat, have the door opened for us, and be greeted with smiles from everyone!
Y’all, there are a LOT of riads in every major city in Morocco, and it seemed almost impossible to choose one in Fes. Location is important to us, as are air conditioning, private ensuite bathroom, positive reviews, etc. It was overwhelming to sift through all the possibilities!
This is the single worst hotel experience Steve and I have ever had. You know I like to keep my blog positive, and I get really excited about special experiences when we travel, so we had been looking very forward to our stay at La Mamounia for months. It was voted the #1 hotel in the world in 2018, but we have to disagree in the strongest possible terms.
There is exactly one place to stay if you want to visit Uluru, and that is Ayers Rock Resort in Yulara. There are actually eight accommodations of various price ranges on the property, and guests of each location have access to the amenities of all the locations!
Belfast, for the Titanic Museum! And, as it turns out, there is only one place to stay: The Titanic Hotel Belfast, of course! So that’s what we did. Thankfully, our trip was a success with no icebergs in sight!
If you’ve ever been to Waikiki, you’ve definitely seen “the Pink Hotel,” which is the Royal Hawaiian! It’s one of the oldest resorts in the world, and of course one of the first in Hawaii. Steve suggested we should stay here for our 5th anniversary, and it was really something special!
