Why You Need to Read Secret Agent Girl Book 1

It’s my Quit-aversary! As of yesterday, it’s been 10 years since I quit my job at NASA Headquarters in D.C. to pursue my blogging full time and start writing my novel. Over 1,100 blog posts and nine books later, I can’t imagine what life would have been like if I hadn’t taken that step. I’ve never regretted it, and today I get to celebrate it in a very special way because…

It’s book launch day! SECRET AGENT GIRL, the first book in my brand-new series is officially out now, after more than two years of dreaming and hard work. I started this series in July 2019 after a particularly infuriating situation in which I found myself (yet again) being underestimated and patronized because I look younger than I am, and I have an adorable accent.

So I thought, “You know what? I’m definitely not the only woman who’s treated like this.” In fact, I have several friends who deal with this as often as I do. And not just from men, as you might expect. Some of the rudest offenders in my life have actually been other women. That’s how Secret Agent Girl was born. I wanted other women to know that they’re not doing anything wrong, they’re capable of everything they know they’re capable of, and they’re simply not alone.

What is Secret Agent Girl about?

Minnie Jo Young is cute. Sweet. Nice. Overlooked. Underestimated. Unassuming. And suddenly unemployed.

When she gets fired from her high-security clearance job at NACA, the space agency, she finds herself forced into a major life change. With the realization that the sky is no longer the limit, she chooses to pursue her dream job: Travel blogging!

That is, until the Secret Intelligence Agency decides travel blogging is the perfect cover—for their newest spy. One problem: Minnie doesn’t want to be a spy.

This book has been a two year labor of love!

Where can I get it?

It’s available on Amazon both for Kindle and in paperback! I know Amazon sometimes gets a bad wrap from small businesses, but for years, Amazon was the only way that my small businesses made money. I use their affiliate links for the blog, I have always sold my books there, and in fact, they are the most user-friendly self-publishing company in the world! Amazon gave me a chance when no one else would–when my following was too small for any other affiliate program, and when no one else would consider publishing books from an unknown author. I will be forever grateful.

That said, I am also committed to supporting indie booksellers! If you think your favorite local book store would carry my books, comment with their name and location so I can look them up! I also love doing book signings, as some of you already know, so I’m also available to do that at no cost to any bookseller. Right now they’re only available on Amazon, but hopefully soon I can get my books into a brick-and-mortar bookstore near you!

Cute, curly, and clandestine. Minnie’s weaknesses might be her greatest strengths.
Don’t miss out! Get yours here on Amazon now!

Will there be more Secret Agent Girl books?

Yes! I’ve already started Book 2, and I have an idea of how the series will progress. I plan to put out two new books per year for the foreseeable future! This is not like the Lost and Found series, which was always intended to be seven books and have a true ending. Secret Agent Girl will be around as long as people want to read Minnie’s story! She’ll always surprise you with her far-flung travels and, as you might imagine, secret agent activities!

My cover artist, Courtney Page, was amazing!
