What’s the first thing you research for a trip? Accommodation? Things to do? Food? Weather? For me, it’s coffee! I love independent coffee shops, fun flavors, unique concoctions, all of it. So when I started researching for our Valentine’s getaway to Miami Beach, I was absolutely delighted to find that there are tons of amazing coffee shops there! There’s nothing better than an iced coffee on the beach, right? Here are some favorites!
Shepherd Artisan Coffee
This one came highly recommended by my friend Stella, who lived in Miami Beach! Luckily for us, there was one just steps from our hotel. They’re great for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, and, of course, coffee!

Aroma Espresso Bar
This was a fun find! They have regular coffee, sure, but why have regular when you could have a coffee slushie? It’s called an “Aroma Coffee,” and Steve and I each had one! Even better, they each came with a piece of chocolate, too! They also serve breakfast, lunch, and pastries, too.

Pura Vida Cafe
This one came highly recommended, but honestly, it was a little too hipster for me! I can appreciate the whole natural ingredients and organic thing, but the only milk options were whole, almond, or oat. That was it. No 2%, no skim. I was not prepared for that. But I did learn that oat milk is pretty okay!

Front Porch Cafe
After an accidental six-mile run (whoops!), we were hungry! And the Front Porch Cafe not only delivered on food, but coffee, too! Their iced vanilla latte was one of the best I’d ever had! It was definitely the pick-me-up I needed for the mile-and-a-half walk back to our hotel before beach time!
