What does every traveler need? Luggage. It doesn’t matter if your loved one is a backpack-only solo traveler, or if you’re gifting to a family of checked bag travelers, everyone needs luggage. And good luggage is often as expensive as a flight these days! Unlike a lot of travel gadgets, luggage is worth a splurge. Is this the most useful item on this gift list? I think so! I was late to the packing cube game, but from the first time I tried them, I was sold. They really do save so much space, and I love to pack my luggage already organized! Speaking of packing cubes and organization, this is a super cool item I’ve been using for all my trips lately. Its compartments keep everything in check, and I love how it stands on its own on a bathroom sink. It’s basically its own packing cube, too!

I love a good backpack for travel. It’s so much better on your back than a shoulder bag or crossbody, but they can be pickpocketed just like any other bag. A theft-proof backpack is the way to go for an airplane personal item, or day bag at your destination. Even better if it can convert from a backpack to a shoulder bag for museums and other sites that don’t allow backpacks!

Bluetooth Earbuds

More and more aircraft are converting to bluetooth-enabled entertainment systems. I love this. Odds are, your favorite traveler already has a wireless pair of earbuds, but it’s actually really nice to have a second pair for travel that’s less expensive than AirPods (and less expensive to lose on travel) and that also work great. My husband and I both love this brand, and they’re under $30!
